Who are we?
The Oregon Financial Education Network Experienced began in 2008 when the founders realized that all financial advice was linked to a product or service - and good financial advice should not be delivered that way!
We set out to design a non-profit program to help people attain true financial wellness and financial independence through simple but comprehensive financial principles and education. We focus on working with human resource professionals to offer these classes for free to organizations including City, County, State, Federal, and Fortune 500 levels. Through our partnerships we have earned a reputation of experience, integrity and reliability. As our recent pandemic shows, knowledge can truly be power.

We discovered other experienced Portland professionals that felt the same way, and OFEN was born. Our financial, legal, accounting, real estate, and mortgage professionals are trained to conduct instructional workshops in the workplace on a variety of financial planning topics.

Meet our Speakers
Harlan Mayer
Harlan Mayer is an OFEN founder and Principal Real Estate Broker. He is a Portland real estate expert, specializing in residential, commercial and investment properties. He is a Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), a Certified Negotiation Expert and applies his 12 years of varied experience representing buyers and sellers of real estate and aiding investors with long-term portfolio management strategies. Outside
of work, he is a devoted dad, writes and performs music (from folk to electronica),and is an avid reader of philosophy and human psychology.
